"Lydecker" with his portrait behind
Within the show, Ken Lydecker is the first client we meet - and not when we think we do. Christopher Chance has taken the commission to protect him from a disgruntled, and frankly crazed, ex-employee, Hollis, to which end Chance has replaced the older man (unbeknownst to his captor) under the hood, and is prepared to take the whack-job out, hopefully not permanently. Hollis pays for his rescue with a $900 value bottle of Takagi Japanese whisky, although this doesn't see out the episode, being expended in the service of the Limousine Client.
