Eva alone with "Johnson"
Eva Khan is the daughter of a fighter and trainer, a member of the MMA inner circle born and bred. In "Corner Man" she is working off her debt to gangster Hugh Prentiss. Eva is, however, far more than mere eye or arm candy, since she knows the ins and outs of the fighting world, and has an encyclopedic awareness of its inhabitants and locales, being the one to guide, and even place, Prentiss' betting, to his constant profit. Chance's first efforts to engage her in conversation fall on seriously stony ground. Eva has been manipulated by Prentiss, and has an understandably low opinion of strange guys who hit on her.
